Graphite Scrap Used in Electric Arc Furnaces (steelmaking) and Electrochemical Furnaces

Short Description:

Graphite scrap refers to the waste generated after graphitization of carbon products and the cutting and crushing of graphitized products during processing. Graphite chips/graphite electrode chips have different definitions of graphite chips in different materials. Some materials and literature refer to graphite chips (such as graphite powder) when the graphite particles are not very large. Some claim that graphite products have a certain size and form lumps, which are called graphite chips. Here, we refer to graphite chips as the second type, usually also known as graphite blocks. The generation of graphite fragments comes from the graphitization and machining processes of graphite products. It is graphite waste used as an additive and conductive material in the steelmaking and casting industries, and can also be processed according to customer requirements. They are also widely used in electric arc furnaces (steelmaking) and electrochemical furnaces (metallurgical and chemical industries).
