Ultra-high power graphite electrodes have been widely applied in the following aspects:
1.Graphite molds for continuous and semi-continuous casting of non-ferrous metals
In recent years, advanced production methods such as direct continuous (or semi-continuous) manufacturing of bars or tubes from the molten metal state have been promoted both at home and abroad. This method has begun to be adopted in China in aspects such as copper, copper alloys, aluminum and aluminum alloys. Artificial graphite is regarded as the most suitable material for continuous or semi-continuous casting molds of non-ferrous metals. Production practice has proved that due to the adoption of graphite molds, which have good thermal conductivity (thermal conductivity determines the solidification speed of metals or alloys) and good self-lubricating performance of the molds, not only is the casting speed increased, but also because the size of the inget is accurate, the surface is smooth, and the crystalline structure is uniform, the next processing procedure can be directly carried out. This not only greatly increases the yield of finished products and reduces the loss of waste products, but also significantly improves the quality of the products.
There are two types of continuous casting methods: vertical continuous casting and horizontal continuous casting.
2. Molds for pressure casting
Artificial graphite materials have been successfully used in the pressure casting of non-ferrous metals. For instance, zinc alloy and copper alloy castings produced by pressure casting molds made of artificial graphite materials have been used in automotive parts and other aspects.
3. Hot pressing die
Artificial graphite hot pressing dies have the following characteristics when used in the pressure sintering of cemented carbide:
First, if the pressing temperature is raised to 1350-1450 degrees, the required unit pressure can be reduced to 67-100 kilograms force per square centimeter (that is, one-tenth of the cold pressing pressure). Second, pressurization and heating are carried out in the same process, and a dense sintered body can be obtained after a short period of sintering.
4. Molds for glass forming
Due to the chemical stability of graphite materials, their resistance to wetting by molten glass, and the fact that they do not alter the composition of the glass, as well as their good thermal shock resistance and small dimensional changes with temperature, they have become indispensable mold materials in glass manufacturing in recent years. They can be used to make molds for glass tubes, elbow tubes, funnels, and various other special-shaped glass bottles.
5. Sintering dies and others
Taking advantage of the extremely small thermal deformation of artificial graphite materials, sintering molds and brackets for transistors can be manufactured. It is now widely used and has become an indispensable material for the development of the semiconductor industry. In addition, graphite molds are also used in cast iron molds, durable molds for various non-ferrous metals, molds for cast steel, molds for heat-resistant metals (such as titanium, zirconium, molybdenum, etc.), and molds for aluminothermic welding molds for welding rails, etc.
6. Graphite molds for centrifugal casting
Mold graphite has been successfully applied in centrifugal casting. The United States has adopted artificial graphite molds with a wall thickness of more than 25 millimeters for centrifugal casting of bronze sleeves. To prevent the burning damage of artificial graphite molds, certain anti-oxidation measures can be taken. After casting a certain number of castings, if the inner surface of the mold is found to be burned out, the size of the inner hole of the mold can be enlarged to be used for casting large-sized sleeves. Qingdao Mingyuan Fengyue New Materials is a new type of graphite processing enterprise with high-quality flake graphite powder as its main body and high-tech graphite products as its leading product. It has established long-term cooperative relationships with more than 200 domestic and foreign units and has been highly praised by the majority of users.
Nanometer graphite powder is made from natural flake graphite as raw material, processed through special equipment mechanical crushing and special production techniques. As a nanoscale graphite powder, nanometer graphite powder has a wide range of applications because of its small particle size, high carbon content, and excellent high lubricity, high electrical conductivity, high-temperature resistance, etc. The application scope of nano-graphite powder lies in industrial production fields such as lubrication and conductivity.
Nanometer graphite particles are fine and have good particle density. They form a tough and almost unwear-resistant protective layer chemically bonded on the metal surface. They can also be mixed with non-conductive materials such as resins and rubber and plastic products to make conductive composite materials. Nanometer graphite can also be made into conductive coatings. The composite conductive coatings obtained by adding conductive fillers have durable and stable electrical properties. It has the advantages of good thermal conductivity, excellent electrical conductivity and extremely high corrosion resistance. Nanometer graphite has uniform particle size, high purity, and high surface activity. It also features high electrical conductivity and lubrication performance, as well as the high-temperature resistance, wear resistance, and chemical stability of graphite powder. Therefore, the application scope of nanometer graphite powder is very wide in industry.
The application of nano-graphite powder in the repair of storage batteries is also very extensive. Adding nano-graphite to used batteries can increase their storage capacity to over 90% of the original and extend their service life by at least one year. This greatly saves the usage cost of storage batteries and also plays a significant role in battery pollution control and environmental protection.
Graphite powder has a wide range of applications in industry. It can be used in various industrial production fields. Different uses of graphite powder result in different prices. Graphite powder has good application effects in fields such as industrial lubrication, metallurgy, conductivity, and refractory materials. Factors such as the use, particle size, and type of graphite powder can all affect its price.
The uses of graphite powder are diverse, so there are many types of graphite powder. Different types of graphite powder have different prices. Flake graphite can be processed into graphite powder of various specifications and particle sizes through different crushing equipment and production techniques. As a graphite powder manufacturer, the specifications of the produced graphite powder range from 80 mesh to 15000 mesh. Graphite powder has different specifications and particle sizes, and so does its price. After being processed through production techniques, graphite powder has excellent lubricity, high-temperature resistance, electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance, etc. Graphite powder can also play corresponding roles in different production fields of industry.
The types of graphite powder include: Flake graphite powder, ultrafine graphite powder, nano graphite powder, colloidal graphite, expanded graphite, expandable graphite, micro-powder graphite, etc., all these graphite powders are processed by different production techniques, and their applications are also diverse. Graphite powder is used in the production fields of lubricating oil, solid lubricants, graphite crucibles, refractory bricks, graphite electrodes, brushes, battery negative electrodes, etc. All have very good applications.
