How to Control The Amount of Electrode Pressure and Consumption?

When the calcium carbide furnace is in normal production, the sintering speed and consumption speed of the electrode reach a dynamic balance. Scientifically and rationally controlling the relationship between the electrode pressure discharge and consumption is to fundamentally eliminate various electrode accidents, improve the efficiency of the electric furnace, and reduce various consumptions. The key to improving economic efficiency.

(1) Persist in measuring the electrodes every day, pay attention to observe the roasting of the three-phase electrodes. Under normal circumstances, the lower part of the bottom ring is about 300mm, the arc plate and rib plate of the electrode cylinder should be intact, and the electrode is grayish white or dark but not red. ; If the arc plate and rib plate of the electrode cylinder under the electrode bottom ring are severely burned, and the electrode is bright white or red, it means that the electrode has overheated phenomenon; If black smoke comes out, it means that the electrode is not roasted enough and the electrode is soft. By observing the above phenomena, a reasonable time interval of electrode pressing and discharge and current control are established to prevent the occurrence of electrode accidents.

(2) During normal operation, the electrode current is controlled within the range of process requirements to ensure the length of the electrode. When the electric furnace is in full production, the length of the electrode deep into the material layer is generally 0.9 to 11 times the diameter of the electrode. Make a reasonable pressure release according to the furnace condition Period; grasp the quality of raw materials entering the factory from the source, and ensure that all indicators of raw materials entering the furnace meet the process requirements; the drying of carbon materials must also meet the process requirements, and the screening of raw materials must be done to sieve the powder.

(3) Electrode pressing and discharging should be carried out regularly (less than about 20mm to compensate for consumption), the time interval of electrode pressing and discharging should be uniform, and excessive pressing and discharging should be avoided in a short period of time, because this will interfere with the established temperature zone and may cause electrode accidents , if it is necessary to make a large pressure release, the electrode current should be reduced, and after the temperature zone is re-established, the electrode current should be gradually increased.

(4) When the electrode of a certain phase is too short, the time interval for pressing and discharging the electrode should be shortened each time; the current of the electrode of this phase should be increased appropriately, and the work of the electrode of this phase should be reduced to achieve the purpose of reducing the consumption of the electrode of this phase; The amount of reducing agent for the electrode of this phase; if the electrode is too short, it is necessary to use the lower electrode to perform the operation of roasting the electrode.

(5) When the electrode of a certain phase is too long, the time interval of pressing and releasing the electrode of this phase should be extended; on the premise that the depth of the electrode into the furnace meets the process requirements, the electrode should be lifted, the operating current of the electrode of this phase should be reduced, and the operating current of the electrode of this phase should be increased. Work and consumption; according to the furnace conditions, appropriately reduce the ratio of the reducing agent for the electrode of this phase: increase the number of times that the electrode of this phase corresponds to the furnace outlet; increase the cooling of the electrode of this phase.

(6) Put an end to pressing and releasing operation after the sintering section is moved down; put an end to pressing and releasing electrodes under the condition of dry burning or open arc; prevent material shortage or pressing and releasing electrodes when materials are about to collapse; someone must come to the site to press and release electrodes Check whether the pressure and discharge of the three-phase electrodes is normal and whether the discharge volume meets the requirements. If the discharge volume of the electrodes is insufficient or the electrodes slip, the cause must be found out and dealt with.
